Books Banned In Florida Schools 2024. Taking place september 22nd through september 28th, banned books week 2024 encourages us to reflect on the increasing waves of censorship, and to acknowledge the importance of libraries in maintaining access to all narratives and ideas—even those considered controversial. The list below contains all banned titles from july 1, 2021, through june 30, 2024, listed alphabetically by county and the last name of the book's primary author.

According to the school district website, three books have been banned, and another two have been restricted. The law made it easier to challenge any book that the state defines as pornographic, containing sexual conduct or age inappropriate.
